DECEMBER 2014 – Final report of the BECOMIN project was accepted by the National Agency. We’d like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of BECOMIN project throughout its implementation period !
SEPTEMBER 30, 2014 – Final report of the BECOMIN project was submitted to the National Agency of each partner country. Now, let’s keep fingers crossed for the positive results of the evaluation process!
AUGUST-SEPTEMBER 2014 – BECOMIN partners are working on the Final Report of the partnership.
JULY 4, 2014. Local meeting – workshop „European practices to better communicate and identify training needs of workers” took place in Lublin and was attended by the staff and learners of Deinde Ltd. During the workshop, the participants worked and groups and tried to look for causes and effects of reading and writing difficulties . The workshop was based on the text „Story to illustrate how literacy can affect our daily life” and activities related to it (Manual „Reading and writing difficulties among adults” by A. Davies, C. Firman, B. Gormley, K.H.A. Letrud).
Moreover, some time was devoted also to dissemination issues, summarizing the last partner meeting held in Vienna, Austria, as well as summing up the whol partnership project and planning the works on the Final Report to be submitted to National Agency.
MAY, 2014. 6th partner meeting organized in Vienna was hosted by our Austrian partner – BEST. During the meeting partners summed up 2 years of cooperation, worked on the final report to be submitted at the end of the project and elaborated on final products of the partnership.
APRIL 25, 2014. Local meeting-workshop on basic skills was organized in Lublin in the form of conversations raising communication skills and competences in English language of staff and learners of Deinde Ltd.
APRIL 11, 2014. Local meeting-workshop on basic skills was organized in Lublin in the form of conversations raising communication skills and competences in English language of staff and learners of Deinde Ltd.
APRIL 8, 2014. Training on raising computer literacy skills was organised for staff and learners of Deinde Ltd. Training encompassed such subjects as: advanced use of MS Word and MS Outlook, as well as effective searching for information in the Internet.
FEBRUARY 7, 2014. Local meeting-workshop on basic skills was organized in Lublin in the form of conversations raising communication skills and competences in English language of staff and learners of Deinde Ltd.
JANUARY, 2014. 5th partner meeting was organized in Brussels and hosted by Belgian partner –
La Chôm’Hier AID.The key subject of the meeting was On-the-job pedagogy as for BS training for workers.
NOVEMBER 29, 2013. Local meeting-workshop on basic skills was held in Lublin for staff and learners of Deinde Ltd. The meeting was organized in the form of workshop and conversations raising communication skills and competences in English language of staff and learners of Deinde Ltd.
NOVEMBER 15, 2013. Local dissemination meeting of Deinde’s staff and learners. Its aim was to describe the course and results of partner meeting in Bergen, Norway – its course, activities and results.
Moreover, we took a look at the Report – OECD Skills Outlook 2013 – presenting first results from the Survey of Adult Skills done by OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) within the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC).The survey was conducted among adults from 24 countries and it measured the key cognitive and workplace skills needed for individuals to participate in society and for economies to prosper. A major component is the direct assessment of key information-processing skills: literacy, numeracy and problem solving in the context of technology-rich environments. OCTOBER 17-18, 2013. 4th partner meeting was organized in Bergen and hosted by our Norwegian partner – Bergen Voksenopplæring. The key subject of the meeting was Communication and cooperation with trainers as for basic skills training.
JUNE 10-11, 2013. Third partner meeting took place in Lublin. Deinde hosted 12 representatives of partner organisations from France, Belgium, Germany and Norway. Participants discusses the issue of communication with workers as for basic skills training and took part in two study visits.
MARCH, 2013. Local dissemination meeting of Deinde’s staff and learners. Its aim was to describe the course and results of partner meeting in Dortmund, Germany, as well as plan next partner meeting to be organized in June 2013 in Lublin, Poland.
FEBRUARY 7-8, 2013. Second partner meeting took place in Dortmund, hosted by our German partner: Büro für berufliche Bildungsplanung (BBB). Partners focused on communication with enterprises and employers as for basic skills training.
OCTOBER 31, 2012. Local dissemination meeting was held within BECOMIN project, attended by staff and learners of Deinde Ltd. The meeting encompassed an introduction to the project and a summary of kick-off partner meeting in Paris.
OCTOBER 1-2, 2012. The kick-off partner meeting was held in Paris, hosted by French coordinator: Institut National de Formation et de Recherche sur l’Education Permanente (INFREP).
AUGUST 2012. Deinde Ltd. launched international project within Leonardo da Vinci Programme „BEtter COMmunicate and Identify training Needs of basic skills for workers”.
O PROJEKCIE/ABOUT PROJECT
The project is devoted to KEY COMPETENCES (understood as basic skills) of people active on the labour market.
Partner organisations focus on COMMUNICATION, IDENTIFICATION AND ANALYSIS OF TRAINING NEEDS AS FOR BASIC SKILLS AMONG WORKERS.
– exchanging practices and common search for innovative and effective solutions to manage training activities in order to better meet the needs and expectations regarding the basic skills from the perspective of workers, trainers and employers.

Within Leonardo da Vinci partnership project, partners implement international activities (regular partner meetings – mobilities during which various actions have been organized such as discussions, presentations, study visits etc.) and local activities depending on each partner’s possibilities and joint arrangements made by all partners.
Examples of planned activities:
– exchange of local practices implemented by each partner organization and other organizations in partner regions/countries through such means as: presentations, local workshops, research/analysis/search for information in available resources,
– comparison of existing definitions and assumptions of basic skills in partner countries,
– promoting debates between enterprises, employees and training organizations,
– preparing BECOMIN guide „Better communicate and identify training needs of basic skills for workers: an overview of European practices” comprising the practices and activities carried out by partners.
INTERNATIONAL PARTNER MEETINGS:
1) Kick-off partner meeting – Paris, France
Dates: 1-2 October 2012
Venue: Paris, France
Theme: Introduction, ice-breaking and establishing partnership rules
Key objectives and activities:
– get to know each other (presentations of partner organisations)
– understand and agree on the partnership rules
– adapt common working plan and tools, communication and evaluation instruments
– define key issues of our project to deepen within the partnership (basic skills training) – roundtable discussion and brainstorming
2) Second partner meeting – Dortmund, Germany
Dates: 7-8 February 2013
Venue: Dortmund, Germany
Theme: Communication with enterprises
Key objectives and activities:
– understanding the issue of communication with the employer/enterprise related to BS training
– getting to know practices/research tackling this issue
– producing a template to collect good practices in relation with the implementation of successful BS training
– preparing next steps to undertake within the partnership and planning next partner meeting
3) Third partner meeting – Lublin, Poland
Dates: 10-11 June 2013
Venue: Lublin, Poland
Theme: Communication with workers
Key objectives and activities:
– understanding the issue of communication with the workers related to BS training
– getting to know practices/research tackling this issue
– analysing the practices through study visits
– preparing next steps: Interim Report, next partner meeting
4) 4th partner meeting – Bergen, Norway
Dates: 17-18 October 2013
Venue: Bergen, Norway
Theme: Communication with trainers
Key objectives and activities:
– understanding the issue of communication and cooperation with the trainers – sharing experience of trainers in training BS skills to workers as well as 'training the trainers of BS skills’
– getting to know practices/research tackling this issues
– meeting with the representative of VOX (LLP National Agency in Norway) – sharing experience in the field of adult education and BS training in Norway and other partner countries
– preparing next steps: good practices collection, next partnter meetings
5) 5th partner meeting – Brussels, Belgium
Dates: 16-17 January 2014
Venue: Brussels, Belgium
Theme: On-the-job pedagogy
Key objectives and activities:
– getting to know practices in the social restaurant „La K’fête” run by Belgian partner organization and talking with workers (’on-the-job’ pedagogy in practice)
– active participation in the workshop – indetifying job situations in which basic skills are needed and can be worked on
– sharing experience/research on the topic of 'on-the-job’ pedagogy as for BS training
– discussing project coordination topics (deliverables, next activities and final partner meeting; working on new partnership project ideas etc.)
6) 6th partner meeting – Vienna, Austria
Dates: 5-6 May 2014
Venue: Vienna, Austria
Theme: Summarizing the partnership project and finalizing its products
Key objectives and activities:
– organizing the work for the final report and working on report template (filling out parts of the report – group work)
– collecting the necessary data – materials, documents, photos, certificates etc.
– agreement on final common products – good practices guidelines etc.
– summarizing the partnership and its outcomes.
